First Impressions: BD Trade Secrets Vital Skin Long Wear Foundation

Hiya guys, hope your ok.

So I’m back with a first impressions post! Now I have never done a post like this so I hope you guys enjoy it!

So as you can see from the title it is a first impression post on the BD Trade Secrets vital skin long wear foundation.

Now I know they have stocked this in my local Tesco for a while now and only recently have I seen people trying the brand out. I’ve been looking for a new foundation and thought I would give this a go.

I have really funny skin and so to find a foundation that actually lasts all day is hard! By around lunchtime the foundation around my nose has started to go all cakey and patchy even though I’ve used a primer & set my foundation. So when I saw this was a long wear foundation I thought I may as well give it a go.

So I used this foundation on probably one of the hottest days in Cardiff (put it to the test right?) It is a very thin, lightweight foundation. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin even when it is built up. I would say this is of medium coverage but if you are like me with redness & breakouts full coverage is normally best and this product is easy to build up!

I got this in Natural Skin – 2, thinking it was porcelain as it was in the porcelain section! but actually this suits my skin colour very well. I have quite pale skin so I was extremely surprised by this as anything more than porcelain is normally too dark for me.

To my surprise… this foundation has lasted all day! I’m typing this at about 8pm and it is now only going cakey and patchy even though I’ve been in work all day with no top up and sat out in the sun after for a good hour!

All in all I am very pleased with this product! I will definitely be re-purchasing this! And for only £10 you can’t really go wrong!

Let me know if you guys have tried anything from this range and what you thought!

See you soon!

  1. I’ve always walked past the BD stand without picking anything up, but after reading this I think I’m going to have to give them a look next time I’m in store. This foundation sounds really great, and something that I would love! Great post x
